Tasting Note

It is a sweet white passito, produced from Riesling Renano and Incrocio Manzoni grapes grown in Raffa and Picedo, carefully selected in the vineyard and dried in ventilated attics until the first frost. The scent is broad, with clear notes of honey, dates and sultanas, in the mouth it is seductive, warm and balanced, of good complexity.

Founded by Andrea Pasini in 1958 and still run in the family today, in the third generation of winemakers, Pasini San Giovanni expresses the typicality of Lake Garda in every bottle, thanks to the 36 hectares of vineyards owned, between Valtènesi and Lugana, on the Brescia coast of Lake Garda. Supported by a photovoltaic system since 2009 and by the carbon footprint assessment project, the winery and the entire company management are ever closer to achieving full sustainability. The company today has two names, one obviously linked to the Pasini family who created and always managed the company, the other linked to the local toponym where the Cascina San Giovanni stands, called San Giovanni locality and linked to the church of San Giovanni located in Palude, a hamlet of Puegnago not far from Raffa. "Wine is good if it comes from a good land ". And if the land has been delivered to us good it is our duty to leave it to those who will come after us possibly better than when we got it. Viticulture and local wine therefore, in name and in fact, as long as they represent their natural manifestation and not a spectacular forcing. Analyzing ourselves deeply allowed us to start eliminating some inconsiderate behaviors for the purposes of environmental impact (from fertilization with chemical elements to the use of heavy bottles) to arrive in 2014 at the official conversion to organic farming with the aim of promoting viticulture and a natural enology, because controlled in every aspect and strongly linked to the territorial balance itself.
